Combining 50 years of experience working with families, we are committed to providing you with out time and individualized attention to find solutions for your student. In founding Advocating for All, Katlyn and Shauna set out with a clear vision to empower families and ensure every child with exceptional needs receives the support and services they deserve.
Shauna Gaines - B.C.A.S.E. (Board Certified Advocate in Special Education), Bachelor’s of Science in Special Education from the University of North Florida. Her career as both an inclusion teacher, self-contained special education teacher, and tutor has given her deep insight into the challenges families face navigating the public school special education system. She has served as a Special Education Committee Chairperson, where she guided multidisciplinary teams through the evaluation, eligibility, and individualized education plan (IEP) processes that meet students’ unique needs.
Shauna is a proud mother of two sons and military wife (retired), roles that have strengthened her empathy, resilience, and commitment to advocating for children - especially those from communities facing additional barriers. She combines professional knowledge with lived experience to walk alongside families every step of the way, offering advocacy, support, and guidance tailored to each child’s individual needs.

Katlyn Brashear has dedicated the past 30 years helping students on their education and athletic paths. Serving as a Sport Psychology consultant, tutor, coach, Special Education teacher, advocate, and mother, Katlyn has honed her listening, planning, and implementing skills to help each individual reach their own level of greatness. Katlyn is also a Board Certified Advocate in Special Education (B.C.A.S.E.).
